It seems wrong to focus on this new Mini Desktop Smoker, considering M&M BBQ Co. has so many non-mini standouts to marvel at: their gorgeous El Rey Woodfire Grill comes to mind, and likewise their mammoth OS1000, which can accommodate 26 briskets and starts at just shy of $20k.
But we couldn’t resist. These mini smokers are part fun novelty, part functional art, and too charming not to fawn over. Perhaps it’s the idea of having a backyard offset smoker inside with you, at hand in your home office while on a Zoom call, that creates the appeal. On a rainy winter day, gaze upon your mini and daydream of sunnier times when you can burn big.
These really do work, by the way. They have a functional firebox and air draw, which, as they should, send the smoke across the main chamber and up and out the two inch pipe. Pro-tip: If you have some pecan shells, soak them a few minutes in water, and light them in the smoke box as your perfect mini fuel. The result will be one very delicious baby carrot.
Order yours well ahead of whenever you need it. M&M founders Mike and Matt and their team are busy with bigger projects, so the lead times on these Mini’s is 4 months or so. $375; pre-order yours at the link below.
